Add News and Events Listings on Author Page

Priority: major Milestone: 3.1

Latest videos are listed on the author page, but latest news and events for the member are not.

We should add these back in and do whatever CSS is necessary to make it look good.

I changed quite a lot of things on the author page. First, it now has its own BrowserView?, handling the python calls (well... some of them. The basic Plone template is so ugly, it needs cleaning). We have to think about a politic of adapters / renderers that could handle videos, news, events retrieving and that could be pluggable. I think that might be postponed to the Plone3 migration. Viewlets will help a lot there. Anyway. The CSS classes are ready and I already worked on the videos part.

I think this ticket should be moved to the Plone3 migration milestone. It's not a good idea to start coding new mechanisms that will be transformed into viewlets. That's my idea. Opinions ?

  • Milestone changed from 0.2 to 0.4

sounds sensible to me. have moved to 0.4 (if someone disagrees move it back :). I think we may need to make a specific migration milestone as you mention, we need to work out where that should be.
